Background and His Achievements:-

Born to a 16-year-old mom and a deadbeat dad and yet he made it to the CEO of an e-commerce Giant Amazon. He proved that with sheer determination, you can move mountains.

His focus on Customer Delight is awesome. As he stated below, If you treat your customer as Guest to the party, your perspective to serve the customer shall change and that is the reason Amazon does such good customer care.

It was a major flop.  Bezos took the $170 million loss in stride.

“If you think that’s a big failure, we’re working on much bigger failures right now — and I am not kidding,” he said in 2016 when asked about the phone’s failure by the executive editor of the Washington Post, Martin Baron. “Some of them are going to make the Fire Phone look like a tiny little blip.”


Amazon Destinations:

Launched in April 2015, Amazon Destinations was a short-lived travel reservation service focused on short, local getaways. The company stopped selling reservations six months later in October 2015, according to the Seattle Times.

“I didn’t think I’d regret trying and failing,” he said when discussing launching Amazon during his commencement address to Princeton’s Class of 2010. “And I suspected I would always be haunted by a decision to not try at all.”
