Internship doesn’t have the fun element: Many Students believe that once they sign up for the internship, it is all work and work. This is also a big Misconceptions About Internship. Many companies have Team Outings and Offsite meetings which gives a chance to network with other experienced employees of companies and have fun.

You can do whatever you want during the Internship. This is a big Misconceptions About Internship. While you have flexibility, you get assigned for a role in the team and you should make all efforts to fulfill your commitment. 

One Should Only do Internship with Big Companies. The internship is your opportunity to showcase your talent and contribute. While a Big company might pay you well but during the internship, your focus should be on learning skills both personal and professional by getting more exposure.

There is no personal development in the Internship. This is a big Misconceptions About Internship. Most of the companies do spend efforts on enhancing you. The format and tool can be different but the intention stays to add value to you during your internship.

Your Internship cannot be Customized. While there may be a framework in place to assign a project to you but you can always ask for additional responsibilities and project participation. this shall ensure that you get good learning during the internship.

Internship Will lead to Job. The internship may or may not lead to Job as it depends on Organization Goal and Manpower plan. However, it is sure that your chance to apply for open positions with the Organization Increases much fold and if you have made a good network with Employees, you have a good chance of referrers and recommendations.
